Welcome.
I am a licensed psychotherapist and life coach who helps people break longstanding patterns, build healthier relationships, and create more sustainable peace in their daily lives.
Education & Training
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #MFC45221) and life coach with more than twenty years of experience walking alongside individuals and families as they create lasting change. My psychotherapy practice is based in downtown Half Moon Bay, with equine-assisted therapy offered in Woodside and virtual coaching sessions available to clients throughout California and beyond.
I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. My work is also grounded in a Bachelor of Fine Arts, begun at Parsons School of Design in New York City and completed at California College of the Arts in Oakland, a creative lineage that continues to inform the way I think about healing, imagination, and possibility.
Therapy Practice
As a Bay Area native who has also traveled extensively, I bring both a deep sense of place and a broad, culturally sensitive perspective to my practice. Much of my clinical work centers on family relationships and the inner lives of adolescents—helping young people and their caregivers navigate the complexities of growing up, communicating across differences, and repairing ruptures.
I also have extensive experience supporting individuals and families impacted by addiction, whether that means guiding someone through the early stages of recovery, tending to the emotional fallout after years of substance use, or helping family members step out of painful, well-worn roles. In all of this, the focus is on realistic shifts that restore dignity, connection, and a sense of agency—one conversation, one boundary, one new choice at a time.
Coaching Practice
Alongside psychotherapy, I offer life coaching for people who feel called to grow or reorient their lives but may not need—or wish for—the container of traditional therapy. My coaching clients benefit from my psychotherapy experience and the many years I have spent listening for what sits underneath the surface of a story: the patterns, loyalties, and beliefs that quietly shape how you move through the world.
In coaching, we work with clarity and momentum. Together, we refine what you truly want, discern what is no longer serving you, and design practical, sustainable steps toward a life that feels more congruent with your values—whether that involves relationships, work, creativity, or the everyday rhythms of living.
Creative Modalities
Creativity is woven through my work in many forms. Art therapy can be especially meaningful for people who sense a lot inside but find that words alone fall short. Through paint, charcoal, collage, or sand tray play, we create a visual language for experiences that may have gone unnamed for years, allowing insight, integration, and emotional release to emerge at their own pace.
Equine-assisted therapy offers a different kind of studio—one shaped by the presence of horses and the natural world. As a PATH International–certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning and an EAGALA-trained Mental Health Equine Specialist (since 2014), I integrate structured, on-the-ground work with horses to support insight, emotional regulation, and growth. Because horses respond immediately to human body language and internal states, this work can gently highlight relational patterns and help clients practice new ways of setting boundaries, building trust, and feeling more grounded in themselves.
