ABOUT SARAH

Welcome.

I am a licensed psychotherapist and life coach who helps people break longstanding patterns, build healthier relationships, and create more sustainable peace in their daily lives.

Psychotherapy

I have more than 20 years of experience providing therapy for individuals, couples, families, and teens. My clients benefit by healing old wounds, recognizing unwanted behavioral patterns, and, in turn, learning how to live fulfilling, peaceful lives. I am an expert in boundary making, teaching healthy coping skills, and teaching effective communication skills.

In addition, I have specialized training in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, teen angst, codependence, and addiction. And, because of its usefulness in reaching the subconscious, I often incorporate art therapy into my psychotherapy practice.

Coaching

My experience as a creative life coach is backed by over 20 years of providing psychotherapy to mental health clients. I became an expert at listening for patterns, connecting past experiences to present situations, and developed a heightened intuitive state where I could identify key sources of discomfort, pain and fear in my clients’ stories.

Coaching focuses on personal development, professional development and self improvement, but it is not mental health treatment or clinical care.

I take great pride in helping people shift their lives into a more positive direction, and I am passionate about helping people become more calm, peaceful and loving towards themselves, their communities, and the planet.

Art Therapy

Art Therapy is for those seeking additional support and is a clinically proven tool for improving most mental health issues. It is a great tool for accessing subconscious parts of ourselves and for aid in manifesting our deepest desires.

Creative expression is an efficient way to search internally and express outwardly, can be highly cathartic, can calm your nervous system and help you regulate, and is a unique way to communicate through symbols. I believe wholeheartedly in the healing aspects of the creative process. You do not need any previous art experience or knowledge for this process to work for you.

Equine-Assisted Therapy

Equine-assisted therapy offers an experiential way to explore emotions, relationships, and behavior in partnership with horses.

In our sessions, you work with the horses on the ground—through observing, grooming, or leading—rather than riding. No horse experience is needed; safety and comfort are always prioritized.

“I finally stopped avoiding fires long enough to let myself burn, and what I learned was that I am like that burning bush: The fire of pain won’t consume me. I can burn and burn and live. I can live on fire. I am fireproof.”
